Michelle Shapiro
About
Michelle Shapiro joined the American Public Health Association in 2022, where she directs web content strategy to champion the public health field. Previously, she managed internal and external communications at Mary’s Center, a nonprofit community health center in the DC area.
She also led environmental health communications at NACCHO, an association of local health departments, and she ran communications and knowledge management at CORE Group, a global community health network.
Michelle received her bachelor’s degree in communication from Boston University. She opened a small baking business in 2020, and she volunteers with Together We Bake, a women’s empowerment organization in Virginia.
