Joyce Sood was appointed Digital Communications Officer in 2013. Before joining the Foundation, Joyce served as Digital Communications Manager at Business for Social Responsibility (BSR), where she led the organization’s digital strategy across global regions and during its annual conference. Prior to BSR, Joyce was Communications Manager at the Glide Foundation, where she directed marketing and communications strategy for the Foundation. Her accomplishments at Glide included launching the organization’s social media presence, leading its website redesign, and managing a direct mail program that fundraised over $1 million for the Foundation. Joyce also worked at Sun Microsystems communicating business conversations through the Sun News Network and leveraging the social web to promote the annual Java One Conference. In addition, she has over six years of experience as an advertising copywriter.

Joyce holds a Master in Business Administration degree in marketing from the University of San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and advertising from Temple University in Philadephia, Pennsylvania.
