About

Emilie is a marketing executive with over 10 years of experience partnering with nonprofits and foundations to advance high impact social change. Emilie is currently the Senior Manager of Internal Communications at Coinbase.

Previously, as Senior Director of External Affairs at Fair Food Network, Emilie led a team charged with telling powerful stories and innovating creative strategies that engage and inspire change makers to advance Fair Food Network’s mission of growing community health and wealth through food. Emilie also led communications and marketing for the Michigan Good Food Fund, a $30 million loan fund in which Fair Food Network is a core partner.

Previously, Emilie worked with Weber Shandwick’s Social Impact team in support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She also led editorial efforts and provided communications technical assistance to grantees across the country for a national W.K. Kellogg Foundation healthy food, active living initiative. Emilie has worked on various cause communications campaigns throughout her career and worked extensively with foundations, nonprofit organizations, and media outlets ranging from The Nation to GQ.

Emilie, a Michigan native, graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan where she earned a dual concentration in arts and ideas and French. She also has a master’s degree in religious studies from the University of Chicago. After many years on both coasts, Emilie returned to Michigan where she lives with her husband and two sons who continue to teach her more than any of her degrees.
