Senior Internal Communications Consultant

We are currently searching for a communications professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an effective storyteller and have previous internal communications experience; a strong writing background with the ability to convey complex subject matter into compelling, digestible messaging; proven success collaborating, building relationships and managing communications projects in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and authors communication materials for internal audiences and external as applicable, including feature articles, complex presentations, and more.
  • Interviews internal resources, collects relevant information and develops material for internal audiences.
  • Schedules and follows up on the timely release of communications in support of strategic communication plans.
  • Assists in the development of strategic messaging by working with others to support communications needs across the health ministries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Provides consultation regarding the design, coordination, and implementation of internal communication plans.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and authors communication materials for internal distribution.
  • Interviews internal resources, collects relevant information and develops material for communication vehicles.
  • Serves as a resource to internal staff on how best to position and deliver internal communications.
  • Schedules and follows up on the timely release of communications information.
  • Tracks results of internal communication-related activity and reports success.
  • Assists in the development of strategic communication messaging by working with leadership across the health ministries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Five years’ experience in relevant field, preferably internal or employee communications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
