DIGITAL PRESENCE CONTENT WRITERComputer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL)-CSAIL Alliances-Marketing Team, to write and edit content for use across all CSAIL websites, individual research sites, social media, blogs, email, reports, research summaries, and other publications.  Responsibilities include consulting with Alliances team to assess topics to cover and contribute recommendations for themes/ideas; working with the content team to ideate, draft, edit, and share content across various formats; conducting research and proposing new topics/series/formats for content; developing print and web content across CSAIL websites, social media, conferences, and other publications; writing short copy and teasers; feature-length storytelling in long form, creating articles on CSAIL’s researchers, students, technology, start-ups, industry partnerships, etc.; conducting interviews for articles or other content; writing for corporate engagement and summarizing talks, conferences, etc.; producing articles, profiles, briefings, talking points, and/or other written material; occasionally uploading content to the website and social media; maintaining  thorough knowledge of CSAIL principal investigator’s research activities; representing Alliances at meetings; and performing other duties as requested.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, technical writing, or related field; at least three years’ journalistic, professional writing, or editorial experience; excellent writing skills and technical accuracy; demonstrated diplomacy, good judgment, and discretion in all communication; flexibility; excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational, time-management, problem-solving, strategic-thinking, and decision-making skills; and self-motivation.  Must be able to prioritize workload, multitask, navigate multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously and under pressure, deliver high quality results, and meet deadlines; keep an open mind when resolving problems and delivering results; and work both independently and in a team-based environment across all levels.  PREFERRED: proficiency with Salesforce and knowledge of SEO and website analytics.  Job #19728-7

Hybrid work schedule: Onsite 1-2 days per week and able to work remote 3-4 days per week. Wednesday is the team core day.
