ComNetworkCHICAGO: Story Matters a Conversation for Nonprofit Communicators
Storytelling plays an important role in communicating about key causes and impacts in the nonprofit space. Great storytelling engages, motivates, and articulates the thoughts and feelings that go into this important work. But what makes a story truly great? What challenges does this era of digital content creation pose? What tips can help us produce better, more compelling stories?
Join ComNetworkCHI for a lively conversation with Susy Schultz of Public Narrative to explore these questions and more. Susy is an editor, digital strategist, educator, writer and change agent, who has been telling stories for more than 20 years. She leads Public Narrative, a non-profit organization that teaches nonprofits and the media to tell better stories. Stephanie Foerster, Director of Ensemble Media, multimedia storyteller, and co-chair of ComNetworkCHI will facilitate the conversation.
This is the third event of ComNetworkCHI, Chicago‘s organization for communications professionals in the nonprofit sphere. Our goal is to create a space to share knowledge, spark ideas, and connect.
There will be light refreshments and networking time. We thank Columbia College and Public Narrative for providing the venue!
