ComNetworkNY: BYOB (Bring Your Own Bagels) Breakfast
It has been only five months since we gathered at the Ford Foundation to celebrate the New Year, sharing food and drink, handshakes and hugs. At that time, we had a plan for a year of meaningful, face-to-face programs.
Like so many other organizations and networks, physical distancing and health guidelines are pushing us to rethink how we produce events and how we engage with each other. However, our goal remains the same: to provide connection and resources for our community of professionals in New York.
In this spirit, we are happy to announce BYOB (Bring Your Own Bagels) Breakfast with ComNetworkNY, a new monthly Zoom gathering structured to enable attendees to connect with peers, build networks, and think together about some of the unique communications issues we are dealing within New York.
BYOB gatherings will take place on the second Tuesday of the month, from 9 to 10 a.m. (but we’ll open the room up a few minutes earlier). We hope you can join us on September 8.
Please help us get ready for the gatherings by using our new Slack channel to share topics you would like to discuss. Your early input on Slack will make the conversations more valuable and engaging. If you are not a member of the ComNetworkNY Slack channel yet, please join us there.
Finally, we would like to tip our hats to Sean and the ComNet team for offering substantive, educational online programming on a national level. If you are looking for new knowledge, please visit www.comnetwork.org. Then, join our Zoom chats to discuss what you’ve learned.
Look forward to seeing you online!
