ComNetworkDenver: Data-Savvy PR with the Denver Post’s Andrew Kenney
Please join us for this rescheduled ComNetworkDenver meet-up on Wednesday, April 24, at Gary Community Investments from 8-10 a.m. Note: This meet-up was originally scheduled in March and canceled due to a snow storm in Denver.
As journalism becomes increasingly data-driven, media professionals need the ability to research and locate relevant data, review and process findings, and translate results into actionable insights.
Join the Denver Post’s Andrew Kenney for a conversation about the power of data and the media to advance social change. He’ll provide insight into how reporters leverage data to craft more compelling stories––and how to effectively integrate data into media pitches to make social issues more persuasive.
Following Andrew’s presentation, Shift Research Lab, a long-standing program of The Piton Foundation that provides data about the health and wellbeing of the Denver metro region, will demonstrate how its open data tools and research can be a resource for communicators looking to get savvier about using data to support their organizations’ missions.
This ComNetworkDENVER event is being hosted by Gary Community Investments. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. and the presentation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Public transportation is encouraged. Metered street parking is available and there are multiple pay lots in the area.
