ComNetworkBOSTON: Bridging the Divide: Moral-based Messaging that Advances Social Justice in a Polarized America

ComNetLOCAL Event

As Election Day looms, many communications professionals are tasked with championing critical social justice issues in a continuously polarized environment. Moral-based messaging is one approach that has been successful at influencing public opinion – in education, health care and immigration reform. We are gathering Boston-area communications professionals for a one hour panel discussion to share the messages that shaped public opinion, and the strategies that worked best (or worst). They will offer insight and lessons for those whose job it is to craft their own strategies to recruit supporters to their causes. Joining us will be:

  • Lucy Dagneau, Associate Director of Communications, Community Catalyst
  • Dan Gordon, Interim Vice President of Strategic Communications, the National Immigration Forum
  • Liam Kerr, DFER Massachusetts State Director, Democrats for Education Reform
  • Facilitator: María R. González Albuixech, Director, Communications and Immigrant Health, Health Care for All

Space is limited so please RSVP soon.
