Communications Strategy

Why Bad Presentations Happen to Good Causes
by Andy Goodman

On January 5th, 2005, Andy Goodman, in partnership with Cause Communications, launched a research and writing project by posting an online survey to capture data about how organizations share information using a power point format. The target audience included non-profits, foundations, government agencies, and associations. The survey research provides initial details about presentations and what we see, what works, what doesn't work, and why.

Andy shared findings at the 2005 Spring Conference in San Diego. Drawing on 2,000+ responses to the new research project exploring the role and effectiveness of power point presentations, Goodman provided a sneak preview of his early findings.
