National Committee.
Dana is a journalism graduate of the University of
Wisconsin-Madison, a member of the National Association
of Black Journalists, the Native American Journalists
Association and the Communications Network.
The Annie E. Casey Foundation is a private charitable
organization dedicated to fostering public policies,
human service reforms and community supports that more
effectively meet the needs of today’s vulnerable
children and families. Its grantmaking and direct
service activities are directed toward reforming public
systems; promoting accountability and innovation in
policy and practice on behalf of vulnerable children;
and building supportive communities that strengthen
families. It was established in 1948 by Jim Casey, one
of the founders of UPS, who named the Foundation in
honor of his mother.
